"That's what's difficult. You know that O'Connell is going to be the one that will jump for the ball but you still don't manage to steal it. It's kind of annoying
"I talked about it with the Toulouse players, my final in 2006 and theirs in 2008 against Munster. I was marking Paul O'Connell and they were man-marking him too. We knew he was going to jump. But I remember I was in really good condition, with a good lift, but every time I just missed it."

I dont gamble big in the bookies, mainly bets on Munster and Liverpool fc
My main gambling would be online poker. I play at pokertrillion. If you check their poker league on thelink below you'll see I'm top dog for the year at the mo. Nice prize too if I stay there.

Last week the bet of the w/e would of been Edinburgh at 5/4 etc against Ospreys...
I also strongly fancied Wales againstaustraliabut Tobyglen talked me out of it!!!!!!!!

There is no buzz like running a bluff in live games......something you have been setting up for 20 odd minutes

Tried online poker and was doing ok but quickly got sick of it. Am keeping up the interest in betting on rugby and the GAA though and lay a bet or two every second weekend. Last year manged to turn 120 into 1,060 but that seems fairly small time compared to Shane here. Took out a grand at the start of the summer and have slowly worked it up to 603. Had two out of two last weekend. Munster and Scarlets to get less than 4.5 tries between them @ 4/5 and the ABs to cover the 20 pt spread.

I plan to play more cash next year as well. Totally different game from a chip game.
I'm playing mostly hold 'em and asmall bit of Omaha and Omaha hi/lo
Edited to add: I play most evenings and then weekends. Going to Munster matches give me a nice break from it and recharge the old batteries

Man Utd will be doing an Arsenal tonight and using their B
team. Burnley are a fine example to why Carling cup is valued more by the
smaller clubs, my own team QPR gave Utd tough game in last round. Blackburn at
5-1 might be worth a punt.

I tried the paddypower online poker. Only on it about five days but breaking even. Just playing the 0.01/0.02 no limit hold 'em and trying to learn. I find it takes ages to get a decent hand and whenever I try to bluff it doesn't work
I gamble every day with my Pension Fund. Would that count?? Pick your Fund to see how little you loose against the competitors!!!!! We might do better than the Professional Fund Managers !!!
I hope nobody paid attention to my tip!

just put on a treble with paddy power, toulouse for Heineken cup, France for 6 nations and Munster for Celtic League. Works out at about 40-1. Looks good to me!
Don't fancy France for the 6 nations at all. I think marc lievremont is a brutal coach. Ireland will beat them in the first game at Croker.

Fools easily parted with their money springs to mind. The max I would ever lay on is 20.00 tops as that is all I could afford to lose. Funny that you always hear about the wins but never hear how much money people actually lose....
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
redster I spend very little on going out. My on-line poker play is a hobby. I also have learnt to manage what I spend. I set a daily/weekly limit and don't exceed it. So far this year I have not come close to exceeding it. Lucky me- maybe (probably)

TBH I would of thought the better bet would be for Munster to win ML,HEC, and Ireland to win the six nations.
