Hmmm. I wasn't 100% sure on the passport expiry date. I might have entered it 2 or 3 days out. Passport number is fine. Can I expect trouble?

Check in complete. Just saw that my departure time Friday morning is 6.25. Think I'll head straight to the air coach stop from the pub.
Governments don't ask themselves "what can we do that is good for the people?". They ask themselves "how do we persuade people that what we want to do is good for them?".
grrrrr, I wish I was going! Have fun you lot and try not get arrested or lose a frog to frogs legs and toast.
...and Mr. Crow comes on for Mr. Magpie.
so long as we keep the frog away from potted plant pots, he will be ok.
"Now, Say my name?"
"You're Heisenberg."
"You're Goddamn Right."

Mick is getting bullish, if he succeeds the Unions can expect a good kicking and the Govt will have to underwrite the various Pension Schemes, any lurking FFers will be gone, then he will turn his attention on the DAA, which should be fun.
He won't be too happy with what they're showing on TG4 now
Oul Mickey is deluded if he thinks he will get Aer Lingus.
He's the Lance Armstrong of aviation and totally underestimates the disdain that exists for him in certain quarters.
O'Leary has serious enemies in both Irish and EU political circles.
On top of that his own politics are hard core right.
There is zero chance of him getting control of Aer Lingus.
He needs the Irish Government shares.
So they have him by the bollix and will relish every moment of stringing him along.
well looka
I think he'll get it. Disdain or not they can't really refuse the deal on the back of him being unpopular. If it's approved he'll be getting the government shares regardless of what the government decide or want.
I'm no fan of Ryanair myself but I've met MOL once or twice and he's actually a nice bloke.

Agreed. The Irish government is in no position to hold onto valuable assets for purely political reasons

Hitler was a dog lover and vegetarian
On a more pragmatic note...........his outsourcing and employment policies alone would be a 10ft nail in the coffin of the government parties.
There's a lot more to it than like or dislike.
Aer Lingus has cash reserves of €1 Billion. It would cost Ruinair approx €400 to get control of Aer Lingus.
Do you seriously suggest any gov will give him that?
He'll have to sell off most of the Heathrow slots. Not going to happen.
He's suggesting farming off many routes to Flybe to satisfy competition issues. They're a 2 bit operation that he would later eviscerate with his usual tactics.
O'Leary is a 1 trick pony. Brilliant at pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap.
Bonkers on other things.
well looka
O'Leary thinks he's the real Taoiseach. The political classes would let the country burn down before giving anything to Mickey.
Never never underestimate the cynicism and ruthlessness of politicians in settling scores.
FG skinned and gutted the popular George Lee because he put a few noses out of joint.
Shafting the delusional O'leary would be like Christmas come early.
well looka
What will happen is this:
The EU will give their decision next month.
They'll either refuse it or throw it back to the Irish Gov.
Who will not give it to him.
The Gov is open to Etihad buying Aer Lingus. That might happen.
All the guff and spoofing is just typical Mickey getting his retaliation in first.
Trying to force the hand of the EU is not clever.
It works on his minions but....
It does look as if O'Leary is in denial about the money he wasted in trying buy Aer Lingus originally.
Like Chelsea's Abramovic he's ready to burn fortunes on a deluded ego trip.
Textbook example of why corporate capitalism is a cancer.

Could we get MOL to sponsor Munster?![]()
Otaga Daily Times 2/5/2012
Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.
Otaga Daily Times 3/5/2012
Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
Having cash is fine if you dont also have massive liabilities, the staff have public service like pay and conditions, the pension fund is massively underfunded etc
P.s. Ireland inc is broke and getting worse, the state cannot afford its current liabilities either
David Wallace, James Coughlan - Heroes, Jonathan Davies
You're right but they might buy the governments shares as Etihad would get a boardroom seat and could be interested in a sort of alliance as part of its strategy of building up Abu Dhabi as a major hub.

Just to bring the Pension Scheme up to date would cost 750m, this figure is not included in the valuation of AL and any potential buyer would do a Pontious Pilate on it and give the hospital pass to the Govt, which cannot walk away as Bertie, his patch, committed them to it.
The Govt would have been 4/500m better off if they had sold out to Mick when it was floated and Mick tried his version of the night of the generals.
Two hospitalised after Ryanair flight makes emergency landing in Genoa
Ryanair said the flight was en route from Valencia, Spain to Bergamo in northern ItalyA Ryanair flight was today forced to make an emergency landing in the Italian city of Genoa.
The airline said instruments on the Boeing 737-800 signalled possible cabin pressure problems
Two women were taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precautionary check but were released shortly after.
Ryanair said the flight, en route from Valencia, Spain to Bergamo in northern Italy, had landed "normally" in Genoa at 9.50am (8.50am Irish time) and passengers had been taken the rest of the way by bus.
Oddly enough, we traveled on board a Ryan air flight from Edinburgh s couple of weekends ago and it was a Valencia plane from the advertising and staff. We pushed back and the plane wouldn't start because the auxiliary thingymabob that looks after cabin pressure also starts the engines and was not working even though they had worked on it over night. Helpfully, there were suggestions from a happy on board crowd that they would hop out and give her a push start! WE waited for an aviation equivalent of a jump start and another 20 minutes later we got the air system working, we took off. I had thought I might worry but frankly I was too tired to worry. The same flight, I saw a frog I n green.:-)
