This guy is a first grade scumbag. No other words will do. You'd think that being a premiership footballer, earning thousands of pounds a week and playing for Newcastle United would instill some sense of responsibilty. But it hasn't.

From Barton's blog...... he went down to see Toulon play Bordeaux yesterday (apprently he's on a season's loan from QPR).

I think this is quite interesting. He presents his views on football vs rugby, on perceptions, on stereotypes, even on class.
Barton seems to be a genuine rugby fan - I remember him tweeting excitedly during the Munster-Northampton game at MK last January.

Well, thanks for that link. I would definitely agree-a genuine rugby fan wrote that. But that article has also turned the stereotypical view I had of Barton as an overpaid angry little thug on its head.

He's an intelligent Man. Hotheaded and outspoken, but analytical and perceptive. Rugby would have suited him much better than that dreadful Sport he's involved with.

Joey Barton - what a complete knob end..

Despite the fact that he's become the broadsheet media's pet Noble Savage, I still don't see any evidence that he's not the thug that his actions indicate him to be. Being able to (barely) string a sentence together doesn't change his behaviour.

Everything Barton does is driven by his agent, the notorious Willie Mackay, who handles a lot of bad boys and foreigners playing in the UK.
His policy is too disturb players and create trouble at clubs as the more times he sells on a player the more Willie earns, he is presently using Doncaster Rovers (Moriarty Tribunal fame) as a shop window for troubled players and gets a major cut of their weekly earnings

Never heard about Barton until he moved to Marseille football team.
What I read about him reminds me a man called Eric Cantona...
Maybe is he walking on his steps, on the reverse trip.

As much as I would like to hate him I can't...some of his actions in the past have been terrible but I think in recent times his behaviour has been pretty good. Please don't even bring up the incident from last season, that was nothing. He certainly pushes the boundaries...

AN OPEN LETTER TO JOEY BARTON from Jimmy Corkhill

    Alright twat features?

I’m seeing my arse here as you’ve made such a bad show of yourself today, that I have finally been tipped over the edge and I’m having to put pen to paper on you, on a Sunday night. My Sunday Dinner hasn’t even settled yet, and I don’t think it will tonight due to the fact that you remain in the world. Quiff and all.

People have been asking me to do a letter to you for a while. Could never be arsed wasting my time on you, but, well, then TODAY happened.

    As a person, you’re despicable.
You come from a family of pure ****.

Your 'brother' and your ‘cousin’ murdered Anthony Walker, the young black lad, because he was black. #RIP

Your ‘cousins’ murdered an innocent Dad #RIP

    And you:

    • May 2005 you broke a guy’s leg while driving your car through Liverpool city centre at 2 am.
    • March 2007 you got arrested for suspicion of assault on a taxi driver and criminal damage.
    • May 2008 you got 6 months in prison for assault and affray outside McDonalds.
    • July 2008 you got a four months suspended sentence for assault and ABH on a Man City team mate, ending your Man City career. You also got charged by the FA for violent conduct.

You & 'your family' are the kind of people that give Liverpool a bad name.

    As a footballer, you’re despicable.

I'm not going to back track at all your other attention seeking sendings off, like the headbutt v Norwich which got you a straight red and QPR then lost 1-2 at home.

Its today that’s pissed me off.

Your team were fighting to avoid relegation, and you act the **** and get a red card.
Then…. Your actions AFTER your red card? Just shouldn’t be seen on a football pitch. Your scum genetics took over and you kick out at Aguero who had nothing to do with your sending off. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a City fan. And I’d rather have them win the league than Utd, so in a way THANKS FOR THAT.

But now you’re mouthing off on twitter about “who gives a ****” .. and how you did what you had to do. And who cares, you stayed up, that’s all that matters? And that you are off to CELEBRATE?? Celebrate??? You should be sent home to sit on the ****ing naughty step lad.

Your team survived by the skin of your yellow teeth today. A penalty at Stoke v Bolton is what saved you. And you are ****ing lucky. Otherwise you and “your team” would be down, pretty much because of you. And no offence to any QPR fans reading, but I ****ing wish you had gone down just to teach your smug rat tashed ****ing face a lesson.

And then you start tweeting that a team mate told you to “take one of the city players with you”. Bad disgrace that. You should be banned for life. No place for players like you. The media are going to be all over that tweet, and all QPR players will get tarred with the cheating brush. Well done lad. There’s no I in team is there? But there’s a ****ing I in prick!

And setting aside the fact that you did it. Now you’re grassing? You can’t live life grassing that someone else told you to do something? Be your own man.

Mind you, Rick Astley told you to get that hair cut you’ve got, didn’t he.

Bottom line is, “Joseph”, underneath all your controversy and the BIG I AM act that you constantly hide behind, is the fact that you just aren’t that good. ARE YOU?
So you act up, stir controversy, mouth off, kick out, and play the big guns on twitter, to keep a name for yourself. Don’t you?

Lad, you play for a team that just survived relegation by an ant’s penis, and you’ve got the same amount of England caps as that David Nugent . ONE. ****ing David Nugent. Says it all. Thing is though, Nugent was born in Huyton too. But, guess what, he isn’t a bad disgrace to Merseyside. Or humans in general, is he?

Assess your life, lad. Assess your life. Because me and all the people that read and retweet this are telling you, you are ****ing bad at it.

Oh I thought about Cantona's earlier french career and stupid files, reminding me the Barton ones, that made me wonder if Barton could have a brilliant french career as Cantona got in England.

But I like Cantona though, even the Cristal Palace mawashigari.

Barton says sorry to Hamann for 'offensive' tweets

    17/01/2013 - 07:50:24
Joey Barton has apologised for a series of “offensive” and “untrue” comments he made on Twitter about former Germany international Dietmar Hamann.

The row flared on Monday after Barton tweeted a response to the news his Marseille team-mate Loic Remy had chosen to join QPR ahead of Newcastle, suggesting managing director Derek Llambias might be one of the reasons the France international did move to the north-east club.

Hamann replied to tell him to keep out of the politics of his former clubs, and that began a bitter row with Barton making a series of personal allegations and insinuations about the former Liverpool midfielder as well as calling him a “maggot” and a “dog”.

Last night he posted a statement on his personal website to apologise for the incident.

It read: “On Monday evening tweets exchanged between Dietmar Hamann and I went beyond the boundaries of banter, opinion and common sense.

“I accept that my comments were offensive, untrue and related to matters of a personal nature, of which I had no knowledge.

“I have apologised to Dietmar personally and now wish to apologise through the same social media channels that I used to make them, as well as my own website.

“I appreciate my comments have caused Dietmar and his family some distress and I fully regret that.

“I also appreciate that my comments should not have been made, as they could have damaged Dietmar’s reputation, which should remain intact as a fantastic player and ambassador for German Football, as well as the game in general.

“Dietmar and I have now agreed to draw a line under the unfortunate exchange and neither of us will be making any further comments on the subject.”

Barton and Hamann, who has previously admitted to having a gambling problem, played together briefly at Manchester City.

Barton is currently on loan at Marseille from QPR after the club lost patience with him following his high-profile dismissal against City on the final day of last season and subsequent behaviour.

PSG are to take action against him after he tweeted; Have to take back what I said about Thiago Silva being over rated today. Been immense tonight. Still looks like an overweight ladyboy though!

He also attacked on Twitter one of Canal Plus football analysts, Pierre Menès. Especially about his weight.

Barton may be bipolar or something, but it seems he turned from british drunk hooligan to a twitter bullying stalker.

Can it be a progress or something ?
