In my local station in the UK, it's £1.31 for petrol and and incredible £1.41 for diesel.

No idea why diesel is far more expensive.

Edit - just realised that, at an exchange rate of roughly £1=€1.20, that's €1.57 for petrol and €1.69 for diesel. The Mexicans in Dundalk must be doing brisk trade.

Supply and demand for diesel puts it more expensive than petrol and the ultra low sulphur thing has not helped as production costs are higher

I'd be filling up as soon as possible. I filled up at 149.9 yesterday in Nenagh on the Dublin Road. Higher Oil and therefore Diesel Prices are imminent. Over in the US its just below $102 per barrel on the april contract and its been consolidating for some time now....time for an up move.

Hauliers are protesting next week about the tax take on diesel not that it will make any difference.

€85 to fill the tank of a family car yesterday. Won't be long before I'll be handing in €100 to fill it I suppose.
€1.549/l for Diesel most places in Dubland. Jumped 1c over the weekend and we can expect to see it rise more I reckon until some resolution is reached with the Iranians.

oil surged on friday and looks like going higher still..it worries me that the fundamentals which the market is discounting could be the escalation of the situation in the straits of hormuz?...perhaps an attack on Iran by Israel or others is imminent?

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.

So diesel @€154.9/litre it adds up to €7.03/gallon.I have a lorry that does 10 miles to the gallon so if you do the math 300 km a day is costing me over €180.If we don't get a rebate shortly my prices will have to increase, and at the moment that's the last thing I want to do.What a lunatic country if it wasn't for all the taxes diesel would be about 65cent/litre.

The brother mentions this a few times alright.
I hope you've a good lock on your tank. The higher the price goes the more likely it'll be nicked.

Diesel is nearly all imported to UK. A lot of the inflation caused by quantative easing is wrapped up in the diesel price. Iran have just announced they are ceasing exports to the UK and France btw although bit of b*llocks really as they didn't send much to either country anyway. Wouldn't want to be a haulier at the moment!!!

Hope it isn't as bad with you as it is in South west England. Mother and Step father just had the barns burnt down full of hay and straw because there was almost nothing left for the feckers to nick so they did it out of spite we think. We've had empty diesel tanks for 2 years now. Good pile of scrap for them to have away now anyway!?!

    Today is the day.

In Paris, one first gas station scored oil at 2,02 € / liter
(the average price everywhere else is still around 1,64 €)

Curiously, on the other hand, Qatar became 1st shareholder on Total Group.
