Many thanks for all the replies - am following up a few of them here in work.

Gnashville - the minister you were thinking of is Dr Brian Gibbons, so I'll get in touch with him.

We also have 'Feirm Factor' over here - it's called 'Fferm Factor'. It's on my 'must watch' list every week as is our own programme 'Ffermio'  (With my interest in agriculture, I am the most unsuitable person to be working on the series!!!)

One other question, do you have a farming programme on television or radio at all? And if you do - what is it / they called?

Ear to the ground, with Mairead the farmers pin up, but my favourite was Mart and Market, a weekly round up of the prices paid at the cattle mart, For the life of me I still don't know what the feck store cattle are, sucklers. And what do you call a castrated bull? Is that a bullock or  a lesser bullock

Thought that you might like to know that 'Ffermio - Iwerddon' ('Farming - Ireland') is being broadcast tonight on S4C - Channel 134 on Sky outside Wales.

It's in Welsh but has subtitles. Would be interested in any feedback for those that have an interest in agricultural type propgrammes.

Enjoy!

Congrats Sian!  Will defo give it a watch to see how your hard work paid off!

As most know on here, I work on a farming programme but understand v little to do with agriculture! However, I have asked around the office and have answers to your questions

Store Cattle = to me - cattle that are kept in a shop - but to the farmer I sit next to in work - young stock that are ready to be finished / fattened for slaughter

Sucklers = breeding cows / cattle

Castrated Bull is called a steer or a bullock whilst a lesser bullock is probably one that isn't quite so good!

Right, off now down to the Pembrokeshire Show - 3 more days of filming agriculture for 2 programmes on S4C this week - Wednesday at 21.00 and Thursday at 20.25 - Enjoy!
