Wake up will ya! this is rugby not tiddlywinks - Sexton gives it out all right, but nowhere near as much as most - He just needs to learn some subtlety in his sledging ...

Seriously, of all that went on in the game yesterday, Sexton's behaviour is the one of concern? Its not like ROG has ever been afraid to sledge other players, or the whole doc/leamy/contepomi thing. Think you are being a bit precious here, especially consdiering all the crap and threats sexton received on here after the mafi incident
|
|

Sexton didn't receive any crap after the "incident" he got abuse for being a scumbag who kicked an opponent in the face. There's other threads on all the other s**te that went on so if you want to discuss those then why not do it there instead of coming onto a thread about this and trying to change the subject and pretend the other incidents aren't being discussed. Sexton is a spoilt little brat who needs to be spoken to by Leinster management - that's it really.

He can make all the faces he wants, he's still not going to Ireland's first choice fly half while ROG is there. I don't know why he's so smug, all he has ever won is a magner's league title, and he wasn't even first choice fly half for leinster then either.
Let him make his faces, it won't do him any good.

I think the posts about some Munster fans being precious is spot on .... Sexton was obvious in his taunting of ROG but you can be certain there was plenty given as well that the Crowd didnt see or hear .... the post stating that ROG could be heard sledging Sexton about missing the drops doesnt surprise me ..... and thats only the backs!!
Its rugby! I only played senior and junor club but it was almost constant from players and crowd .... you give it ... you take it .....

The naivete of some of the comments on here is laughable. While what Sexton did was a bit childish (and I saw Fitzgerald pull him away from it after), ROG has never exactly been pious in his sledging performances over the years, it's just he's achieved a finer subtly with it. Still, the little lad has probably done himself no favours in next years Magners League games - memories of elephants we'll have!

When ROG was obviously getting into mouthing off with the Argies people on here had a field day about it and having a go at him. The difference? ROG has a position to mouth off from, Sexton is a nothing special player who thinks he's all that. But generally it'd be nice to see this kind of bo***cks of getting in someone's face after a try etc stopped - fair play to Fitz for dragging the twat away, is it any surprise the likes of him are doing better than a knacker like Sexton development and talent wise? It's no coincidence that the attitude and the talent are right in one and lacking in the other.

Its easy to play a seemingly good game at fly half when you're behind a pack making ground with every play. More time on the ball to make decisions and take decisions.
I hate seeing any photos or footage from that game. Burn 'em!

Sorry but to come on cold and kick a pen in a situation like that would suggest he is anything but a "nothing special player". Its understandable to be pissed off with some of his childish behaviour, but the guy obviously has the talent- kidney certainly thinks so. He needs to improve his manners in certain situations. however.

That reaction will be remembered for a long time, some day he'll get his comepuance from Munster.

Sexton does seem to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Let's hope this can be sorted out in the near future.
Has cracking potential, though.

Some of the comments here on Sexton are laughable. ROG gives it
some lip on the pitch as much as anyone, if not more so.
Munster are no choir boys.
A shot of Sexton in action raises the temp. and so many rush to angelic
ROG's defense. Who knows what ROG may have said before this (and I
have little doubt it was plenty, if less obvious to the crowd)

While it's open season on crucifying the guilty, I'd like to see Master Ronan O'Gara ditch the fancy dan websites, media visitations, and books and get on with simply playing rugby. Because he's been rubbish at times this season and Saturday was a real low.

He's only in his second season and is playing well so hold the horses. There's loads of players that sat on the bench for most matches while their team won medals - just cos they were in the squad of a successful team doesn't mean they're automatically better than a player on another team - is barry murphy a better 13 than o'driscoll since he's got 2 medals for example?

Despicable creep sums him up quite well in my oppinion, this attitude is just not on, its a completely different issue then that with quinny so dont start on about that!! There is a major difference as well with sexton snearing into an opposing players face and ronan jumping into his own fans in a moment of celebration! one is beind a complete as5h@le and the other sharing the experience with his fans!

That attitude isn't really conducive to making something of yourself in professional rugby so for his own sake he'd want to reel it in and learn some f**king humility.

O'Gara gives as much as anyone, nothing wrong with Sexton giving a
bit back.
Course, we'll have to deal with Billy Keane from here on out.
