I went to see Transformers on Monday, worst film I've seen in years. There's just something about huge cars that change into big robots fighting each other for half-an-hour I just didn't like. And three of the eight people I went to see the movie with actually fell asleep somewhere during the film, and it was late-afternoon!

oh no ............

Havent seen it yet but i heard that idiot Bay made an ass of it..........

Ts a shame such a great story was ruined by that fool......

Bad Boys anyone????

oh god.........

went to see transformers last night .............

Very let down by it ...........

While the battle scenes were decent Bay ruined the story ........

I mean why did he have optimus prime with a face? Primes face was always covered.

And what the hell was the story with megatron turning into a helcopter/plane type object? Megatron was always a Gun .............

He did use some credible autobots such as jazz, ironhide, and bumblebee but bar starscream and megatron the decepticons were'nt great. There was no soundwave or ravage?

And what the in gods name was the decepticon that was in airforce one downloading the info ............. It was like a modern day short circuit....

Anyway its just my opinion but what could have been a momentous film for a generation was merely a damp squib .........................

PLEASE DONT LET THERE BE A SECOND ONE .........

went to see it last night too. the special effects are incredible, but that's about the only positive from the movie. the rest of it is s**t. I Optimus Prime was even more of a pussy than in the original cartoons.

Paternal duties require me to attend the Simpsons Movie tomorow, so I shall post a comprehensive,  no-holes barred review on Sunday evening.

This will be the first moving picture show that I have attended this century and I am really looking forward to it.

Saw The Simpsons Movie on thursday evening with Cian. Excellent fun. Just take the brain out of gear and you'll enjoy it.

Some classic one liners.

I agree the effects are very good but its such a pants of a filim..........

I felt so let down by it i came home and watched the orginal movie last night.

As for Optimus Prime hes a true legend, but i think the cheesey lines that work on the cartoon dont really do it on the big screen. Also Bays pathetic use of comedy one liners was terrible .... Does the ebay line ring any bells???

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Its almost depressing .......

Michael Bay .......... STAY AWAY !!!!!!!!!!!!

The Simpsons is alright.
A few funny bits but the last 30 minutes was a bore.

The Bourne Ultimatum was excellent, very enjoyable.

as for Transformers, the more i look back at it the more disappointed i was in it. Crap story line, but expected that with Michael Bay, the fight scenes were excellent,  but Optimus was all wrong wrong shape and colour, so was Jazz, he was always a Porsche, not a Pontiac.

Bedstuy, I think the Decepticon on Airforce One was supposed to be Soundwave.

Out if all the transformers Starscream stayed most true to the cartoon, looks like there will be a second since he was able to get away at the end

The Simpsons Movie was very disappointing. One or two great jokes, but apart from that, it's the same old tired claptrap that the writers have been spouting for the past ten seasons.

You just can't write better material than, "I call the big one Bitey!"

i actually enjoyed transformers a lot more than i was expecting to.  I was disappointed that there wasnt more dialogue from the other autobots and decepticons other than Prime in particular.  Theres definitely a sequal planned (maybe 2) so hopefully they will improve things on that front.  The action was good although I'd have preferred less jumping around at times.  You couldnt always get a good look at the characters in action before it jumped to the next one.  Hardly saw Megatron as that plane at all either

BTW, the decepticon on air force one was Frenzy, one of the tapes that used to be in soundwave.  Soundwave supposed to be in sequal according to rumours

Yeah, The Bourne Ultimatum is very good, although the books were better imo. Their is a fourth book in the Bourne series, but it was written by a hack after Ludlum's death, I have it around the house but haven't read it yet. Knocked Up is supposed to be very good, I'll try and see that over the weekend.

Knocked Up is quite funny. I watched it on tv-links.co.uk during the week. Not as good as 40 year old virgin though.

Bourne Ultimatum is excellent.
