Having suffered several dislocations and surgery I am looking at getting something to avoid the risk of further dislocations.
Although I have ruled out going back playing rugby a fall playing soccer/tag rugby could easily put the shoulder out again.
I know this is really one for the Pysio but has anyone any recommendations?
Thanks smileys/smile.gif@@@@/SPAN>

Don't know much about shoulder supports, to be honest. I wouldn't imagine there's much that will protect you from a fall.

I've not dislocated mine, but suffered some problems with hyperextension and general discomfort in the AC for a while after breaking my collar bone.

Physio recommended highrep, low weight exercises on acable colum - upward rows facing the column, and then side on pulling down from shoulder height with the arm extended, and doing diagonal pulls across the chest from shoulder to hip.

Low weightreally was low - 5/10 kgs, working to exhaustion. As the muscle tones, it tightens everything in and holdsthe shoulder more securely.

Worked a treat for me - a month or so fixed a problem that I'd been nursing for about a year.

That's great advise BB, I'd similar problems that I got sorted with 3 weeks doing all of the above, I was told to work on 15-20 kg's though!
