After a very enjoyable weekend in Amsterdam,(see the other thread thanks to all for the advice)our intrepid adventurers headed for Schiphol Airport to catch our flight to Cork. (Dep AMS 20:45 arrORK 21:15 both times local)We checked in, got our boarding cardsand got a bite to eat. As we approached the gate,we saw on the screen that we had been delayed until 22:00. I asked the stewardess who told me that it was delayed due to non arrival of an incoming flight. I could see an Aer Lingus 'plane through the window and I pointed atit. The stewardess told me that that plane was the one from Dublin.Went back, found comfy seats (around the back of the ABNAMRO bank, just before you get to the Murphy pub.)
Keeping an eye out for any changes, I was wandering around and I met a KLM stewardess. I asked her did she know anything about the flight to Cork and she said (Wait 'till you see this one) that the flight from Cork had arrived but the Dublin flight was delayed and one of the crew for the Cork flight was on the Dublin flight. According to the screens, we were now scheduled to leave at 22:30 but theDublin flight was listed as "Now Boarding"
We eventually left at about 23:00 (local) getting into Cork at23:30 (local)
