I just thought that since there are so many Irish out in NZ, that people might like to upload pics that they might have taken over there, for the rest of us back here to enjoy.

Also any links of pics would be great, or indeed video. It might be nice to look back upon as we go along, or after the event.

My two roving correspondents have finally sent me some news on interaction with the Irish supporters (thank God we're not paying them by the hour).
They met an Irish engineer from Melbourne who made a late decision to follow the Irish but failed to inform his boss, who was understandably miffed. After the win against Aussie, he informed his boss he was staying until the Irish won the cup - now that's commitment. They met a builder from Athlone who said he only worked from Tuesday through to Thursday. When my correspondents asked if that was due to the recession, he replied: "No, just to break up the weekend".

Seen in the back of an Irish campervan "What would I be if I wasn't Irish - ashamed".

While the lads were at the Rotorua game, the great Irish streaker leapt the fence naked, dodged security men, left and right and put clothes on every 10m. He was arrested at the other end fully clothed! At least that was the plan. In truth he didn't make the field but was dragged down by the security boys and as he was struggling manfully, wriggling like an eel in a sack to get free, he managed to punch the air every 5m or so while being carried off.

Each fist pump was met with an uproarious "ole" from the crowd and then a 10,000 strong chant of "let him go" boomed out - but to no avail.

One of the highlights for me was the anthems against Italy. Totally random I know but still ....

Take a look around 2:30 when the first chorus of Ireland, Ireland .... kicked in it felt like the whole stadium joined in (the advantages of having an overly simplistic ditty for an anthem). Really hit home how much the locals have joined in the party. Heaslip was trying not to smile.
