What do ye think of this guy, 25 years of age, would he suit Munster??

Moved to "opposition and other clubs". It is being discussed in the "Which centre would you like to sign" thread, but there's no reason to consider it Munster news really.

Definitely!!! He'd be a great signing - we should move quickly and offer him loads of cash to sign.

In fact, we should sign 'em all - any player who is out of contract should be signed immediately - no need for medical checks or anything else.

We need a team ready to jump on the Munster helicopter at 15 mins notice. That way once a thread is started here containing info re an available player, our guys could have him signed in a couple of hours.

What kind of chopper do we need? Maybe Obama would give us a Blackhawk - then everyone would know that we really mean business!!!!

Wow you are a gobs**te, the guy was only asking peoples opinion on a player he thinks would be good for munster. No need to take the piss, but I guess he should have sent you a pm to check if he was allowed to post that message

might annoy some of the more established posters on here
but seriously, no need to be such a sarky pr**k about it

All too common a theme on here now. Seems you need a
few thousand posts to have an opinion.

At last, it seems the Untermensch (Ns&Gs) are finally rising up against their Aryan Uberlords (SMs)...I'll play my part: "I am Spartacus!"

A good strong player, not the most creative but useful none theless. I think he would benefit more from Munster than Munster would benefit from him, however I would still like him in my arsenal given an unlimited budget. If he approached Munster as a keen player who wanted a challenge I think they should consider it, but he's not a player the management needs to be chasing.

I asked the same question in another thread. Don't see the need for that response. Given his family pedigree and position it is a reasonable question.

Thank you posters, this is a forum, its here for questions to be asked!!! It was a simple question asking if this player was good enough to play for Munster, or has our game evloved past the hard hitting 12 like the old days. (P.S blindsider try not to turn this post into SH*T like so many others with posters b***hing for 10 pages).

I completely agree with the post that says he would benefit more from us than we would from him. He is prob better off staying in England and operating under their patronage of foreign players into the national side!

I for one thought this was hilarious.

As for the ensuing responses... Knickers, twist comes to

+1 - There are a few on this board that equate number of posts with knowledge... how sad. Give monkeys* typewriters and all that.

A Tuillagi is not what Munster need, we've got enough
problems with players who constantly tackle illegally without
adding to them.

I'd agree with comment on those who post in quantity rather than quality - maybe we should have a daily limit - then the posts might become more relevant!!

While Blindsider was a little harsh with his comment, Munster should not
be looking to sign Sale cast offs. They won't win any HCs for us.

I'm sorry to have deserted this thread for so long. I've been busy elsewherre on this site, ensuring that my daily post quota is maintained at its stellar level.

(I've posted on MF Mark 2 since its launch in Nov 2006 - 2100 posts in 4.5 yrs is actually very moderate. There are posters who have 10000+ posts. I'm an amateur compared to some!)

The original post was: What do ye think of this guy, 25 years of age, would he suit Munster??

This is being discussed elesewhere - no need for a separate thread. Too many threads like this make the site more difficult to navigate. Really useful threads get lost or overlooked.

I don't want to be a thread Nazi (Sieg Heil!) and I'm certainly not the most opinionated poster on MF. (But don't start me on Munster kit/Dumper/anti-matter/is it rice-crispie cakes or buns?)

We have had a number of threads started in the off-season, which fit very neatly into an existing thread. Many of these are about signing someone who has just become available. It really does help if we all look for an existing thread to fit our inspiring post in - a new thread is often not necessary - except in Blabla!

You haven't lived until you've started a new thread in Blabla - but be warned, it's a cyber-jungle and only the very fittest survive - many's the broken poster who was chewed up and spat out by the cyber-creatures who lurk in Blabla - many feel safer by moving abroad - DC returned to Cavan, OD built a fortress in West Cork and Sewa moved to Israel! You have been warned!

(I don't want a sh*tfight either BTW - so I'm going to leave this one here - unless it turns into a constructive discussion, in which case I'll report the poster for an 'Off-topic drift' (also known as an OTD) whereby you'll receive a Yellow card.

God I need a cup of coffee!

If you think this place is tough, try PR or, if you're very, very brave, Gwlad!!!

blindsider stop justifying your reply. it was smug and condescending. too many newbies getting slapped down for tentatively posting. seen guys sin binned for less than your reply. woulda been more helpful to redirect shadow's point to the correct thread rather than just try to piss him off.

time for this site to decide between open, friendly expansion or closed talking shop for "superior" minds.

Interesting 1st post.

Of course it was smug - but it wasn't condescending IMO - sarcastic yes, drippingly so.

If I wanted to be condescending, I'd thank you for the 'full-stops' and ask you to try capital letters at the start of a sentence. But I won't.

This is the interweb - disagreements happen. As I said before, this is a nice site - if you want ugly go to PR or Gwlad.

I actually think your point was fair enough, every player
someone sees has been released (which in itself is a clue)
is being put into a thread as someone Munster should sign.
If it's not the entire NZ team it's half the world's rejects and
people do need to get a grip. Especially considering I'm
sure I remember there being more than just me
complaining we're not giving the academy and
development guys enough time.

No prob with your line of thought Evil and I too am pretty sick of the ever expanding list of names mentioned here but there is surely a better way of replying to Shadow's (and similar)post. Some guys really need to chill out a little.

As for Blindsider's brilliant wit and "drippingly" sarcastic replyI am of course much enlightened and informed by his knowledge of syntax and punctuation. More childish s**te on this forum.
