Your best bet is the Munster Muesum in Thomond or
Brennan's one in Charlie St. George's, or ringing Rockwell,
CBC or PBC who would consistently have had players on the
team and might have old squad photos, imo.

It's possible the Limerick Leader or the Examiner would have
archived photos from that era.

That's around the time my dad played. His jersey was a long sleevedheavy cotton plain red jersey with a white collar and white cotton number. The crest was the classic navy blue with three yellow crowns.

No sorry I don't have any. I assume you'll need it quickly? I'll be visiting my parents next weekend I will see if I can find it and take a photo. It's pretty knackered.

EDIT: Actually I getting my dates wrong my dad played circa 65 not 60. Sorry

Cork City library has copies of all Irish Examiner/Cork Examiners. A lot are in paper. Others are in microfiche. If you know dates of matches, tracking down the correct edition should be easier.

Most Examiner photos are still available from them.

Munster Branch secretary, Frank Byford, has a lot of historical information on Munster matches and may include schools history. The office in Tramore Rd will probably haveinfo.

Manyof the rugby playing schools have photosfrom past squads and so a call to the appropriate school may be good.

Maybe the committee for MunsterSChoolsRugby (http://www.munsterschoolsrugby.com/committee.html) might have some info.

Would you ring the Munster Branch, the head guys there
would prob have played around this time and sure they would
help you out as your father in law was prob a team mate its
worth a call.

My father played back in the 40s for Munster Schools..probably too early for you...the jersey was just plain red with a white collar..No crest as far as I remember...I used wear it as a kid myself!

I remember Richard Harris giving an interview and showing his jersey
that he had from the time he played Munster Schools, would that have
been earlier than 55'?

Rufa PM me your email address and I'll send those pictures. But as I said it's actually circa 1965 but hopefully it will help you.

Rufa, as pointed out, your best bet is the retro jersey from
the AB game; it would be the same.
