How many lads do you know that gave birth Bash?? smileys/lol.gif Plus, if you're insinuating that the lads had a good "go" then bear in mind that they probably got the one "go" and then were banned from "going" anywhere for the rest of the 9 months plus.

So I say, g'wan the girls! smileys/lol.gif

Tell me there aren't women out there who put up the Detour sign when pregnant anymore? Surely educationhas moved on...?

Because if it hasn't then they need to reflect that perhaps their partners will have done so by the time the 9 months are up.

Nah - had a discussion on this topic about 6 or 7 years ago with 'settled' pals and recall being amazed that of the 6 or 7 of us gathered around the table, 2 had suffered through the 'Detour' rule. Now one, with damn good reason; previous rough pregnancy etc. But one poor sod, just got the old Maggie Thatcher line.

Thank the Lord the majority of us were with reasonable partners.

Well, I'm way out of my depth on this one, I hope to not cross that
bridge for some time.

Yeah, I was RO, just tongue-in-cheek in response to Bash! Couldn't let him away with that one! smileys/lol.gif

Interesting discussion though.. I would always wonder WHY a lady might use the detour line all the same (unless risk of miscarraige or rough pregnancy, etc., as you said above). Something must be up in the relationship if that's the case if you ask me.

Not atall, in my experience if said "go" is succesfull (which in my case it always is smileys/wink.gif )said girl is "mad for it" for the alot of the rest of the 9 months, bar maybe the last few weeks where it just gets a bit, ahem, freaky to be doing the likes of that. Or maybe thats just me.

He has plans to tax this sector with taxing the Childrens Allowence. In
my pre budget submission to the Minister I will be suggesting
removing the VAT on condoms which will be cost neutral by my
proposed tax on thongs.

good idea, if on the other hand he chooseshe to apply self assessment it could lead to some very interesting scenes at the local revenue offices to say nothing about retrospective auditing over the previous 5 tax years

The thong Tax should only apply to munters though who would be better off wearing size 18 granny pants or bin bags. Same for those who believe belly tops are for those with bellies! Tax them I cry, tax them!!

Speaking of Munters, I didn't know whether to be mortfied or to break my hole laughing ealrier today when I collected my young fella from his 2nd day at school. He proudly introduced me to "Munter Deedrah" much to Muinteoir Deirdre's displeasure.

2nd day; 8 long years ahead and already he's on the sh1tlist. Don't know whether to be nervous or proud.

PS - eh, far from a munter, that same girl.

Plan has evolved. Rather than tax thongs at point of purchase, a
thong licence fee would generate more revenue, keep fat thong assed
munters off the streets on Saturday nights and re-deploy public
servants as thong inspectors.

I wonder if a certain gentleman from the Revenue Commissioners will
apply?
