@@@@SPAN ="story">Munster back-row forward Alan Quinlan has been
suspended for six weeks after admitting a stamping offence during
Saturday's Heineken Cup match against Cardiff.

Quinlan appeared
before an independent disciplinary committee in Dublin on wednesday after
being cited following the Pool Four match at Thomond Park.

Citing
commissioner Alan Mansell lodged the citing for alleged stamping in
contravention of Law 10.4 (b), and Quinlan, 32, admitted his guilt.

The
independent disciplinary committee who heard the case was chaired by
Christopher Quinlan (England) and also comprised Bruce Reece-Russel
(England) and Iain Goodall (Scotland).

Quinlan has the right of appeal against the length of the ban.@@@@/SPAN>
